SALT LAKE city — Joseph Carbone envisions a day when every child who needs eyeglasses could have them.

this is what inspired the Utah optician to start a nonprofit, Eye Care 4 children, a company that has grown inside the Beehive State and reached to 4 other states in the past 18 years, to this point proposing 250,000 pairs of glasses to children in want.

Carbone says he noticed in his for-profit apply that "many children went devoid of care."

He and a volunteer for the application were honored Wednesday by way of Utah lawyer ordinary Sean Reyes for the firm's work assisting Utah children.

Longtime volunteer Mark Mattice pointed out he has endured volunteering with the software for 15 years because of the feeling he gets when he helps a toddler see.
